On Praying....&....Asking You To Forgive Me 

Matthew 6:7-14

Matthew 

"When you pray, don't babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered only by repeating their words again and again.  Don't be like them, because your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!  Pray like this: 

Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored.  May your kingdom come soon.  May your Will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.  Give us our food for today, and forgive us our sins, just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.  And don't let us yield to temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

"If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.  But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Thoughts....

I can't think of a better time to be praying than now in the world, certainly in the United States of America, that does not seem to be fully united.

So....

Heavenly Father, God, please....please....please, help us to honor YOUR name.  And oh....yes....Lord, may YOUR kingdom come soon.  Most assuredly may YOUR WILL, Father God, be done on earth.  Please exercise it fully in the USA right now.  We so need YOUR WILL as in heaven to be manifested.

Give us YOUR food for today....Jesus IS the Bread of Life....may he enter into each of us and fill us to overflowing.  

Oh, God, please forgive us our sins, and help us to forgive those who have sinned against us, not to let them off the hook by any means, but, so that we may be freed from the pain, sorrow, and potential hostility that may burden our hearts, our spirits, and get in the way of there being room for you to reside within us.

And HOLY heavenly Father God, though I am reading, and have written, what was placed in my translation of the New Testament as 'don't let us yield to temptation', indeed, I think we should most assuredly yield to temptation, to adamantly stop all temptation in its tracks, that we not go over a cliff from which we cannot easily arise.  PLEASE STOP all those being tempted to do wrong by the evil one....fully deliver all those in the world from the evil one, that he may not have reign over anyone ever again.  In other words, save us from ourselves, Lord God, please.

We fully understand, God, that if we don't forgive others', we may not be granted your forgiveness for our sins....of which there are many.  Thank you.  Amen.

I don't always find it easy to forgive others, however, it used to come easier.  And tho' I do forgive, I don't always choose to forget.  Call it a form of protection, like a warning defense system. 

And I pray.  A lot sometimes.  Sometimes not. 

Today I am coming to you asking for your forgiveness.  I have already asked my Lord for forgiveness.  And for prayerful help.

I have not loved my Lord with my whole heart.  I have not loved my neighbor as myself.  This is evidenced by my lack of putting into print all he has shared, keeping up with preaching the Gospel timely, talking, but not sharing out loud, so to speak. 

I think....this last December, was the first time I have not preached the Gospel, and been focused on the time set aside when we honor the Lord Jesus' birth.  I have been dealing with some family matters, and in shock over world matters, and let life get in the way of everlasting life.    

For those of you missing those 'Thoughts' during that time frame, I hope you were able to find previous 'Thoughts' from years gone by to soothe your soul, touch your heart, sustain your spirit.  

It certainly proves I'm human and subject to situations of life, never been a doubt about that.

Having said this, I hope you will pray for me to be healed emotionally, physically, spiritually. The burdens on my heart have been so great. 

My humanness was subject to Satan's whims.  I've been so frugal most of my life and so responsible, and yet, recently, I let the disease of Covid, and the prospect of early death cause me to buy things I'd 'always wanted', but did not purchase previously due to wisdom, and let my wisdom slip, blowing money right out the window.  So now I am having to catch up.  Yet another burden on me.  And yet I knew better.  

We've all had these moments where Satan takes us by the tail, so to speak.  I never understood it in others before.  Golly gee, I get it now.

More importantly, I've had a loved one near death, and, I've been beside myself with grief and daily needs needing to be met.  While I needed to continue to work, then myself getting sick. 

I have also spent entirely too much time reading current events on the computer, when I should have read the headlines only, and then taken the matters to God in prayer, for better time spent. 

Last (?) but not least, I am burdened with losing my vision. I often wonder if God is trying to tell me I am missing seeing something he needs me to see.  I fear not being able to share the Gospel and 'Thoughts' with all of you.  See my loved ones, care for us all.  And I am lacking in white blood cells and red.  Not a great position to be in with a worldwide pandemic looming and surrounding. 

Please know, I WILL do better, especially with your prayers on my behalf.  With you keeping me in God's, Jesus', Holy Spirit's focus, I'll feel the warmth of their embrace, the fire of their love, albeit lifting me up from behind, so to speak, I'm guessing, as they should.  For which I will be grateful to you, and to them.  And I fully believe, as I've experienced many times before in my life....I will receive their healing touch.

And should that healing touch be a 'perfect healing touch', whereby I am healed in his arms in heaven, know that I've loved you all with the fullness of my heart all these years, and will continue to do so in eternal life. Thank you....all of you....for hearing me, and welcoming me into your hearts and homes.  And especially if you've gone forth to preach the Gospel from the seeds planted herein.  Even more, I am grateful that you've been listening to God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, allowing them into your hearts, minds, souls.  May you continue to feel their everlasting love and embrace into eternity.  I expect us all to meet in heaven one day. 

In the meantime, have a great new year, and pray your brains and heart out, because here in the USA, it's hugely needed!!!!!  Just sayin'.

OUR Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be THY name.  THY Kingdom come, THY will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day, our daily bread, whose name is Jesus.  And forgive us our debts/sins, as we forgive our debtors/those who have sinned against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For THINE is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory....forever....Amen.  Thank you, Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit for your forgiveness and your everlasting love.  May we all come together in unity with you.  In Jesus' name I pray, by, and with, the power of the Holy Spirit, to dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.  We praise you.  We thank you.  We love you.  Amen.

  Our Continual Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, animals, the earth, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.
