      Embrace Everyone....Regardless of Governmental Prejudice or Religious Affiliation             

Acts 18: 1-3

Acts 

Then Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.  There he became acquainted with a Jew named Aquila, born in  Pontus, who had recently arrived from Italy with his wife, Priscilla. They had been expelled from Italy as a result of Claudius Caesar's order to deport all Jews from Rome. Paul lived and worked with them for they were tentmakers just as he was.

  Let Us Pray

God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me as a new vessel by which you alone can fill me to overflowing.  Be with me this day and everyday as I go forth.  Everyday I, and others, are faced with various forms of alienation, discrimination, abuse, neglect, indifference, persecution, etc. on some level or another.  These are great sins.  Painful sins to those on the receiving end of them.  But also will be painful to those inflicting such, though they may not understand until the day you don't forgive them or call them home.  God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, heal us....all of us. Help us all understand, and see, what you understand and see, and what it means to the world....what it could mean to the world, the universe, were we to do better, be better.  Hell is becoming mighty full I'm thinking, as a result of all I see and experience.  I cannot fathom the continual pain and suffering your hearts endure daily from your view.  Please God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, please, heal our land and do what is necessary to secure us all in peace, love, care of and for one another.  Help us to embrace one another, love one another, as you have commanded us in John 13:34-35 saying, "So now I am giving you a new commandment:  Love each other.  Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.  Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."  Let this be agape love-spirit filled, philos love-brotherly, not carnal-physical, toward one another every day.  Help us to become one in and with you, Jesus Christ.  O, God, you told Solomon in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land."  O, God, hear the prayers of myself and your people today, so that healing will take place in our land....the whole of the earth, the universe, and in the heavens.  I praise you!  I thank you!  I love you!  Amen!

Let us hear from Paul as he prays:  

When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.  Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT

  Our Continual Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, animals, the earth, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

'The Unforced Rhythms of Grace'

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly.  "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father - Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself; I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen."
