Who We Are

The Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christian church.

We believe in God the Father....our Father, Creator

In Jesus, the Messiah....our Savior and Lord
and in
Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide.

We believe that God made the heavens, the earth, and all creatures therein.

And that He forgives us of our sins.

God has given all creatures His son, Jesus, who died on a cross and arose from the dead.

We believe Jesus went to heaven and is now seated at God’s right hand.

His death and resurrection has given us the opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life.

God has given us Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

*

Jesus Christ from Nazareth, the man who was crucified, was raised from the dead by God!

Jesus has now become the cornerstone.

"There is salvation in no one else!  There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Acts 4: 10 - 12

Holy Bible New Living Translation

Who are God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

God is our heavenly Father who created the heavens and the earth.  He lovingly forgives our sins.  God gave us His Son, Jesus, who died on a cross, and arose from the dead.  Jesus now sits at the right hand of God.  He is the Messiah, our Savior.  He can be our Lord, if we believe in him and accept him.  He gave us the opportunity to receive eternal life.  When Jesus went to heaven, Holy Spirit was made available to us to comfort, teach, and guide us.

God in the beginning:  Genesis 1 & 2
Jesus:  Matthew 1, 2 & 3
Holy Spirit:  John 15:26, 16:5-15

Are you one with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

If you have not accepted the Trinity (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) into your life to receive all they have to give you, and you would like to, pray this prayer or use your own words from your heart:

“Dear Heavenly Father God, please forgive me of my sins known and unknown.  Jesus, please come into my life, heal me, and make me whole.  Give me a new life in and with you.  I wish to receive all that you have to give.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit, so that I can learn all I can about you, to love you as you love me, so I can love others, and, so I can love myself.  Holy Spirit, please fill me to overflowing with all the fruits and the gifts you have to give me to help me grow in Christ Jesus and be able to share the Trinity with others.  Thank you for giving me this new life.  Please send other Christians to surround me to help me grow and be strong to defeat Satan and the things of the world.  Help me to be worthy of your love.  Thank you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  In Jesus name I pray, by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, to dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.”

If you have prayed this prayer, or one from your heart, please email us at TrinityMissions@msn.com, so we can agree with you in prayer, praise God, and uplift you with prayer support.  We are thrilled to welcome you into the family of believers and encourage you to find a church home nearby where you can study, grow, and fellowship with others.  Someone may need your support as much as you need them.  We are commanded to come together in fellowship to worship His majesty.

If you choose to fellowship with us via the web, we are honored to welcome you to the Church of the Holy Spirit.  We pray you will be enriched and uplifted in the fullness of the Trinity to their glory.  Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing from time to time.  We hope to have a special page for this purpose.  We now have a page where you will be able to list prayers for all to see, so that we may come together praying as a body of believers, for Jesus said, ‘wherever two or more shall gather, there will I be.’   Don’t forget to send prayers of thanksgiving, as well as petitions of tears.

You are who God calls ‘The Promise Children’, as in Romans 9:25-26 NLT:

“Those who were not my people, I will now call my people.  And I will love those whom I did not love before.  And, once they were told, ‘You are not my people.’ But now he will say, ‘You are children of the living God.”

“The Kingdom of God is near you now.”

The Apostle Paul gave us this “Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment” in Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.  It reads

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.”

Jesus told us to remain in his love in John 15:9-13 NLT:

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy.  Yes, your joy will overflow!  I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.  And here is how to measure it - the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends."

 Talking About Betrayal, Bullying, Abuse

Luke 22: 47 - 53

Luke

But even as he said this, a mob approached, led by Judas, one of his twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus and greeted him with a kiss. But Jesus said, “Judas, how can you betray me, the Son of Man, with a kiss?”

When the other disciples saw what was about to happen, they exclaimed, “Lord, should we fight? We brought the swords!” And one of them slashed at the high priest’s servant and cut off his right ear.

But Jesus said, “Don’t resist anymore.” And he touched the place where the man’s ear had been and healed him. Then Jesus spoke to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard and the other leaders who headed the mob. “Am I some dangerous criminal, “he asked, “that you have come armed with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there every day. But this is your moment, the time when the power of darkness reigns.”

 Thoughts....

How awful it must have been for Jesus to be betrayed by those whom he respected, cared about, even loved. Have you ever been betrayed?  It’s a very painful experience.

It’s interesting that Jesus knew what Judas was doing. But haven’t you known when someone was betraying you? You may not have wanted to acknowledge or accept the truth. But once you have accepted it, have you been able to walk away? Self respect. Mental health and well being. Concern for God in you. Those are the things that should be paramount within you to stimulate your choice to walk away. If you did not/do not walk away, these were/are lacking.

Someone once said to me, “Your body is the temple of God and he does not want the doors being beaten down.” With all the earnestness I possess, hear these words and heed them, if you are being betrayed. Or abused or bullied, as well.

The disciples surrounding Jesus were willing to fight the betrayer and his assigns. One even lashed out and cut off the right ear of the high priest’s servant.

But what did Jesus do? He reached out to heal the man, and, he stood his ground. He essentially told Satan “Take me, I’m yours.” when he said, “Don’t resist anymore.” to his disciples. But ONLY because he knew he would be the victor in the end....that God ‘had his back’. He also knew the torment he would go through at the hands of the captors. Remember last week we learned that ‘his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood’ when he prayed on the Mount of Olives? He knew the suffering that was to come.  He knew of his glory in his resurrection, too, and what it would mean to the world.  What it could mean for you.

Folks, you do not have to suffer or die for ANYONE. Jesus already did that for you. He set you free, and set a precedence for you to follow him into salvation and eternal life. NOT into the hands of the spoiler....the one who kills, steals and destroys....abuses, bullies, betrays.

You do NOT have to stay in an abusive, bullying situation filled with betrayal that you may be in. Furthermore, you SHOULD NOT stay there.  You do not have to be hung on a cross and die for anyone.

As a Christian, there will be times you cannot help some folks. There will be some who will choose hell over salvation. Some who, though they have goodness, will not allow Jesus to take from them that which is comfortable to them....their choice to exhibit bad behavior, their negative attitude, their choice to lash out, attack, control, their obsessive/compulsive behavior. Their choice to live in a state of paranoia. Their choice to project their negatives onto others and then only see those in the other person as a way to enforce a dislike of the other person. They don’t like looking in that mirror. But they cannot dislike themselves, so they dislike others. Threatened or not. They hold on by a thread....the little that is left of themselves.

These folks will be passive/aggressive. Kind and evil in the same second. Under-handed, deceitful, thieves of a person‘s loving spirit. Yet magnanimous. Loving, yet vicious. Angelic, yet explosive with hair-trigger rage.

One of the most painful things one can experience is wanting to help someone when they do not want the help you offer as a Christian, as a friend, as a spouse, an employee, a boss, a relative....even as a stranger. Some people cannot be saved. Not even by Jesus. That’s another choice that will be made by the person lacking control, as they seek desperately TO control....everyone....everything. They will make the choice to steer clear of Jesus and anyone associated, if possible. Others they win over through brainwashing control.

To walk away from this person, will cause one to feel the same as Jesus felt in relinquishing his life to his betrayer. Deep sadness, pain, an emptiness of sorts. But it must be done.

Do not believe the ‘if only-s’ in life. ‘If only I stay they may learn about Jesus.’ ‘If only I stay, they may accept Jesus and be saved.’ ‘If only I stay, they may see Jesus in me and want him too.’ ‘If only I stay they may be healed.’ This is faulty thinking.

LISTEN [ok....READ] : If 'only' you stay, Satan will take YOUR spirit.....and destroy Holy Spirit in you. Do NOT assume you can battle this type of experience on your own. This takes a LOT of prayer and more than one person.....it may even take MANY persons to rebuke these types of spirits of Satan’s out of a person. But remember, the person has to be WILLING to have this done. They have to WANT to be healed. They have to DESIRE Jesus in their life above all else. They have to have LOTS of people around them that understand the battle and the TREMENDOUS support needed for this type of person to be whole again.

This is NOT a safe or easy undertaking. This is not a situation whereby you can just have them say a salvation prayer and you can go along your merry way. Actually, once you’ve prayed a salvation prayer with anyone, you should never walk away. Remember how Jesus was tempted for 40 days in the desert after he was baptized with water and Spirit? He was Jesus....no one else is. Do you recall your struggle after you prayed for Jesus to come into your life? Did you ask Holy Spirit to come in as well? Was your journey without incident? Why ever would you expect that someone else’s journey should be a hit or miss action, a walk in the park? Or that someone else should do without support?

Certainly a betrayer/abuser/bully needs WAY more support/assistance than a person willing, grateful and excited to receive Jesus. Reaching out to someone of this caliber requires one have tremendous maturity as a Christian believer. Some Christians, even if they have been so for 20 years or more, would not be able to address this type of situation. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit must call someone for the task and gather many to accomplish a rebuke and healing of this depth. Please be careful as you go forth, until you break the cord that binds you to someone with the level of problems a person like I’ve described has. And then, watch your back for awhile. Place yourself solely in the hands of God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. The battle will be theirs.

For no reason at all, this lion may roar and attack. They will lie about you. They will deceive you and others. They will attempt to discredit you, attempt to destroy your integrity and honor. They will call you names. They will tell you what to do, and what to say, and how to say it. How high to jump....fully expecting you to do so....no matter who they are. They will attempt to make you believe that what they know is true and absolute, and brainwash you into believing that the way you speak is not right, that you know nothing in comparison to what they know....even if you might. They will say they are having a conversation over and over in repetition, yet they are really just dictating their thoughts. Conversation requires someone speaking, someone listening, another speaking back or making a comment, and being heard, etc.

This person will verbally attack you. If they don’t break you with bullying tactics, they will next go into a crying/manipulative mode. If that doesn’t break you, they will try degradation of what you look like, how you carry yourself, how you present yourself, who you are. Don’t believe any of it. It is their attempt to destroy you, kill your spirit, steal the essence of your being....who you are, so they can control you....feel bigger, believe themselves more important or better than you, attempt to ‘win‘....be victorious.

This is darkness attempting to reign. Don’t let darkness reign. Turn them over to God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. Then WALK AWAY. Therein lies your victory....and God‘s, Jesus’, and Holy Spirit’s. Let THEM handle the betrayer, the bully. This type of behavior MUST be handled, and should be handled, best by them.

Let it go....just let the person roaring be placed in God’s hands. If you don’t succeed in the first few moments, a few weeks at the max, this is NOT your battle. You must not allow yourself to be destroyed, or upset Holy Spirit in you. Do not continually place yourself in harms way. You MUST protect what God has given you....YOU, Him, Jesus, Holy Spirit....and others around you whom you love and care about.

Walk on. Darkness will reign quite all right without you. And you will be MUCH better without it raining all over you!

Be careful. Be healed by the blood of the Lamb....Jesus. Always claim protection in Jesus’ name. Pray earnestly. And seriously....walk on....now....sooner.

Jesus knew he wasn’t some kind of criminal, yet they treated him like one....no....worse.

Just like you may be being treated. Was he worthy of being treated as such? No! Are you? Absolutely NO!. Should God, Jesus, Holy Spirit IN you be treated the way someone may be treating you? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!  Don't put those surrounding you whom you love at risk either.

Protect the Lamb. Walk on....just like Jesus did. He went to the cross. But remember, he suffered, and died, for you, so you don’t have to do it for him, or anyone else. Let Jesus’ be the Savior he was born to be and became in death....and new life and resurrection. Walk to him. Hek, RUN to him!

Remember the old Gospel song, ’Let my people go‘? God is singing. Break free today.

 Let Us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, my God and my Creator; Jesus, my Lord and my Savior; Holy Spirit, my Comforter and my Teacher, thank you. Thank you for reminding me how great thou art. And for reminding me of the responsibility I have to take care of you in me....and me....first and foremost. I need not sacrifice myself for another. You did that for everyone. I need not suffer for another. You did that, too. You call me to an abundant life, and, though I wish everyone would choose to have you in their life, I must listen for your voice and learn to discern when to share who you are, that you are, how wonderful you are, make the offer of you, support the positive choice of receiving you....and....when to walk on. In walking on, I let everything go to your hands, your heart. I not only get out of your way, I stay out of your way....and another’s. It’s clear in Scripture that not everyone is given you, Jesus....for you say ’those whom the Father gave me’ are yours. There are others not chosen, some whom have turned to you, and many who have turned away. Some become, or are, chaff to be burned up in the fire. As sad as that is, there are some you call me to help, some who will never be helped, and some you must most assuredly deal with on your own. There will be those I need to walk away from for you in me, and for myself....to protect us all.....you God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and me....and those I love. Thank you for making all this clear to me. For relieving me of the responsibility on occasion. For alleviating some of the pain....that which was inflicted and that from seeing someone stay lost....knowing they’ll not go beyond, that I won’t see them again one day....in heaven. It grieves my soul....but it is not for me to deal with anymore. And thanks God, Jesus, Holy Spirit for trusting enough to put those tasks in my lap, and loving me, even if I could not succeed at helping someone turn their lives over to you. Please try and help the person who betrayed me, bullied me, abused me....and those who do the same to others in the world. Forgive them, if you choose. I am sad that you will lose even one. But I sure don’t want you to lose me. Forgive me, please.  Strengthen me, please.  I love you, I thank you, I am grateful for everything always. Most especially for you being my Creator, my Savior, my Comforter and Teacher. And who loves me the most. Thank you again. Amen.

  Our Continual Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, or animals, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Please accept my sincerest thanks....and God's....and may God richly bless you !

    One last thing....

 Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

'The Unforced Rhythms of Grace'

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly.  "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father - Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself; I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen."

"Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn how to live freely and lightly.

   Matthew 11:  25-30
