Who We Are

The Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christian church.

We believe in God the Father....our Father, Creator

In Jesus, the Messiah....our Savior and Lord
and in
Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide.

We believe that God made the heavens, the earth, and all creatures therein.

He forgives us of our sins.

God has given all creatures His son, Jesus, who died on a cross and arose from the dead.

We believe Jesus went to heaven, and, he is now seated at God’s right hand.

His death and resurrection has given us the opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life.

God has given us Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

*

Jesus Christ from Nazareth, the man who was crucified, was raised from the dead by God!

Jesus has now become the cornerstone.

"There is salvation in no one else!  There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Acts 4: 10 - 12

Holy Bible New Living Translation

Who are God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

God is our heavenly Father who created the heavens and the earth.  He lovingly forgives our sins.  God gave us His Son, Jesus, who died on a cross, and arose from the dead.  Jesus now sits at the right hand of God.  He is the Messiah, our Savior.  He can be our Lord, if we believe in him and accept him.  He gave us the opportunity to receive eternal life. When Jesus went to heaven, Holy Spirit was made available to us to comfort, teach, and guide us.

God in the beginning:  Genesis 1 & 2
Jesus:  Matthew 1, 2 & 3
Holy Spirit:  John 15:26, 16:5-15

Are you one with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

If you have not accepted the Trinity (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) into your life to receive all they have to give you, and you would like to, pray this prayer or use your own words from your heart:

“Dear Heavenly Father God, please forgive me of my sins known and unknown.  Jesus, please come into my life, heal me, and make me whole.  Give me a new life in and with you.  I wish to receive all that you have to give.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit, so that I can learn all I can about you, to love you as you love me, and so I can love others.  So I can love myself.  Holy Spirit, please fill me to overflowing with all the fruits and the gifts you have to give me to help me grow in Christ Jesus and be able to share the Trinity with others.  Thank you for giving me this new life.  Please send other Christians to surround me to help me grow and be strong to defeat Satan and the things of the world.  Help me to be worthy of your love.  Thank you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  In Jesus name I pray, by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, to dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.”

If you have prayed this prayer, or one from your heart, please email us at TrinityMissions@msn.com, so we can agree with you in prayer, praise God, and uplift you with prayer support.  We are thrilled to welcome you into the family of believers and encourage you to find a church home nearby where you can study, grow and fellowship with others.  Someone may need your support as much as you need them.  We are commanded to come together in fellowship to worship His majesty.

If you choose to fellowship with us via the web, we are honored to welcome you to the Church of the Holy Spirit.  We pray you will be enriched and uplifted in the fullness of the Trinity to their glory.  Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing from time to time.  We hope to have a special page for this purpose, and, we now have a page where you will be able to list prayers for all to see, so that we may come together praying as a body of believers, for Jesus said, ‘wherever two or more shall gather, there will I be.’   Don’t forget to send prayers of thanksgiving, as well as petitions of tears.

You are who God calls ‘The Promise Children’, as in Romans 9:25-26 NLT:

“Those who were not my people, I will now call my people.  And I will love those whom I did not love before.  And, once they were told, ‘You are not my people.’ But now he will say, ‘You are children of the living God.”

“The Kingdom of God is near you now.”

The Apostle Paul gave us this “Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment” in Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.  It reads

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.”

Jesus told us to remain in his love in John 15:9-13 NLT:

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy.  Yes, your joy will overflow!  I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.  And here is how to measure it - the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends."

The Kingdom Of God Exists NOW

Luke 21: 5- 38

Luke

Some of his disciples began talking about the beautiful stonework of the Temple and the memorial decoration on the walls.  But Jesus said, "The time is coming when all these things will be so completely demolished that not one stone will be left on top of another."

"Teacher," they asked, "when will all this take place?  And will there be any sign ahead of time?"

He replied, "Don't let anyone mislead you.  For many will come in my name, claiming to be the Messiah and saying 'The time has come!'  But don't believe them.  And when you hear of wars and insurrections, don't panic.  Yes, these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately."  Then he added, "Nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other.  There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and epidemics in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs in the heavens.

"But before all this occurs, there will be a time of great persecution.  You will be dragged into synagogues and prisons, and you will be accused before kings and governors of being my followers. This will be your opportunity to tell them about me.  So don't worry about how to answer the charges against you, for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply!  Even those closest to you - your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends - will betray you.  And some of you will be killed.  And everyone will hate you because of your allegiance to me.  But not a hair of your head will perish!  By standing firm, you will win your souls.

"And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that the time of its destruction has arrived.  Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.  Let those in Jerusalem escape, and those outside the city should not enter it for shelter.  For those will be days of God's vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled.  How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for mothers nursing their babies.  For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.  They will be brutally killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world.  And Jerusalem will be conquered and trampled down by the Gentiles until the age of the Gentiles comes to an end.

"And there will be strange events in the skies - signs in the sun, moon, and stars.  And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.  The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up.  Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory.   So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!"

Then he gave them this illustration:  "Notice the fig tree, or any other tree.  When the leaves come, you know without being told that summer is near.  Just so, when you see the events I've described taking place, you can be sure that the Kingdom of God is near.  I assure you, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these events have taken place.  Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever.

"Watch out!  Don't let me find you living in careless ease and drunkenness, and filled with the worries of this life.  Don't let that day catch you unaware, as in a trap.  For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth.  Keep a constant watch.  And pray that, if possible, you may escape the horrors and stand before the Son of Man."

Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives.  The crowds gathered early each morning to hear him.

 Thoughts.....

Ladies and gentlemen, the events Jesus described above have occurred.  Except for the part where you will personally stand before the Son of Man, because you are still alive....you are reading this.  If you are a Christian, when you pass from this life into the next, your salvation will be complete, when you are in his arms in heaven.

Let's briefly look at the facts.  Historically everything Jesus mentioned has occurred and been documented.  In the last sentence of paragraph 4, Jesus said, 'by standing firm you will win your [own] souls.  Do not give up on God working in your life, being by your side, having victory.  Do not give up on his promise of salvation through Jesus Christ.  By holding firm to what Jesus said/says to do, believe in him and obey him, your salvation will be complete.

In paragraph 5, the age of the Gentiles has come to an end because Jesus overcame it by going to heaven, our Lord reigns.  The Kingdom of Heaven is NOW.  The end of man's reign occurred when Jesus ascended the last time where he now reigns with God forever and ever.  Amen.

In paragraph 6, regarding verse 26, please recall that when Jesus died, as noted in Mathew 27:50-54 that 'the curtain in the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.  The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened.  The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead after Jesus' resurrection.  They left the cemetery, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.

'The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened.  They said, "Truly, this was the Son of God!"'

When Jesus says "the stability of the very heavens will be broken up", it means that the control of power will be intensified, and shifted, by the reception of Jesus arriving and taking his position as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  He, at that point, becomes the Lord of all....Savior....Messiah.

In reference to verse 27 in paragraph 6 where Jesus stated, "At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory", see Daniel 7.  Please see that in verses 13-14, Daniel described his prophetic vision saying, "As my vision continued that night, I saw someone who looked like a man coming with the clouds of heaven.  He approached the Ancient One [God] and was led into his presence.  He was given authority, honor, and royal power over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him.  His rule is eternal - it will never end.  His kingdom will never be destroyed."  Folks, this happened when Jesus ascended into heaven and was seated at God's right hand.  We know this because Daniel said 'coming with the clouds of heaven'.... 'he approached the Ancient One and was led into his presence'.  Daniel's vision was viewed from the location of heaven, not earth.  When Jesus ascended into heaven, he was seated, and was given authority, honor, and royal power....for eternity.

In Daniel 7:21-22, he continues his vision saying, "....the Ancient One came and judged in favor of the holy people of the Most High.  Then the time arrived for the holy people to take over the kingdom."  It has been done, folks!  Do you recall when Jesus told the disciples that they [all of us] would do as he did and more?  Jesus reigns with God in heaven, and we, as members in the Kingdom of God, are to reign, too, with them, over Satan and the world.  From heaven and earth.  We do not recognize God's power in us, those of us still on earth.  They expect us to be doing what we are supposed to be doing, obeying and doing as called!  We ALL fall short of the glory of God.  Please note I used 'we' in these sentences.  I am under the same conviction as the rest of you.  None of us are truly stepping into the faith or the power to the fullness of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.  And we NEED to....God, Jesus and Holy Spirit need us to.

Once Satan is finally made the footstool under Jesus' feet by God and completely destroyed, 'then the sovereignty, power, and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be given to the holy people of the Most High. They will rule forever, and all rulers will serve and obey them." according to Daniel's prophetic vision.

Re: Daniel 7:13, also recall that Jesus' disciples watched him ascend into heaven in Luke 24:50 and Mark 16:19.

In Luke verse 28, Jesus said, "So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!"  BECAUSE Jesus now reigns!  "Your salvation is near!"  You are not saved when your sins are forgiven.  You are merely forgiven.  You are saved when you have been found worthy of obeying God, Jesus and Holy Spirit, and you are received into heaven.  Until you reach heaven, your salvation is only 'near'.  Remember, Jesus said in John 15, he will separate the chaff from the grain.  He said, "Anyone who parts from me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers.  Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned."  So your salvation is 'near' if you believe and obey, but not complete until you 'get there'.

Further in verse 31 of Luke, Jesus again says "Just so, when you see the events taking place, you can know that the kingdom of God is near.  I assure you, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these events have taken place.  Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever."  Spiritually speaking, heaven and earth have disappeared for Christians.  For those who have chosen to believe in God as creator of the universe and everything therein, accepted Jesus Christ as Savior AND made him Lord of their life, and in Holy Spirit as comforter, teacher, guide, asked forgiveness of your sins, hopefully gone and sinned no more, been baptized into the Kingdom of God, have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you are now living in the Kingdom of God.  Are you acting like it?  Are you operating as a Kingdom kid?  Are you furthering the message of the Holy Ones?  Would others know you by your fruits?  Would they know the Lord through you?  Jesus said, 'my words will remain forever'.  Are they remaining in you?  Do you read the Bible?  Have you read other documents supporting Jesus which have been found since the Bible was compiled?  Do you really know him?  Are you living your life for him?  He lived and died for you.

Jesus goes on to say in verses 34-35 of Luke, "Watch out!  Don't let me find you living in careless ease and drunkenness, and filled with the worries of this life.  Don't let that day catch you unaware, as in a trap.  For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth."  THAT day, ladies and gentlemen that he is referring to is that day when he calls you home to heaven, when your last trumpet sounds.  For if you are not ready, if you are not living a life equal to his calling you, have not obeyed him, you will not escape the horrors of this life.  He says from verse 36, "Keep a constant watch.  And pray that, if possible, you may escape these horrors and stand before the Son of Man."

Jesus said, "I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God."  The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit."  He goes on to say, "There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him.  But those who do NOT trust him have already been judged for NOT believing in the only Son of God."  John 3:3-21

John the Baptist said as indicated in Luke 3:16 "I baptize with water, but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am - so much greater that I am not even worthy to be his slave.  He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.  He is ready to separate the chaff from the grain with his winnowing fork.  Then he will clean up the threshing area, storing the grain in his barn, but burning the chaff with never-ending fire."  And in Acts 1:5 and 1:8 Jesus said, "John baptized with water, but in a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."  "When the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

You may 'think' you are living a great life.  Have 'everything' you need.  Are 'joy filled' always.  But, if you do not 'have and obey' Jesus, trust me (trust HIM!), you are not living a great life, do not have everything you need, and have not a clue what true abiding joy is.  Nor will you ever get to heaven.  'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.'  Psalm 118:22  'There is salvation in on one else!  There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.'  Acts 4:12

That name is Jesus!

The Kingdom of God is here....NOW!  Don't wait!  Turn to him now....trust and obey!  I'll pray for you....will you pray for me?

 Let Us Pray

Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, wow.  It seems we, as Christians, in our humanness, always seem to think we have time.  Time to be good, do better, be better, do more, do our best, later.  But it is very clear from todays lesson we are living in the end times....NOW.  OUR end times.  Okay....MY end time.  As I read and learn more, I see clearly that the Kingdom of God is ushered into one's life when one accepts you.  I accept you....fully.  The Kingdom of God was ushered into ALL time when you went to heaven to take over the throne at the right hand of God.  You've already come and come back (a couple times) and have now gone for good, and you, God, and Holy Spirit expect us on earth to carry on for you here.  And shame on us....me for sure!  Holy Toledo we have had it all wrong.  But now, we can get it right....I pray I can....and I will pray others' can as well.  It's been hard these long days, Lord.  I trust, and then I revert to the negative reality surrounding me, which is not the same as your grace and mercy and promises....the positive reality surrounding me.  I disregard the depth of your love and negate your concern, and all the good works you've performed in my life.  And I don't come alongside you as, I think, I could do better.  I'm sure you think so, too!  Letting go, to me, is giving up.  And giving up, is letting go.  But I so want to hold on and help you help me.  I know I sometimes get in your way....hek....sometimes I get in my own way.  Please tell me the steps I need to take to walk in your glory, to rise above life circumstances, to insure I am doing all I can do to reach your arms in heaven on my last day on earth.  I want to walk with you and talk with you, as the song goes.  I want to help raise others up to you by them hearing my testimony, seeing you through me, having them hear all you have to share through me.  I want to study to show myself approved.  But golly gee, would you please help me remember the things I need to remember?  I praise you and thank you for all you've done for me in my life, all you've given me, and all you are going to do for me and give me and.......all I am going to do for you and give you.  For I cannot do it of myself, only with your help, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit.  Thank you for showing me the Kingdom HAS come and that all I MUST do is for your glory....and....in obeying you....I will get to heaven.  I am born of water and of Spirit.  Let's get this show on the road!  I've lots more to do for you before you call me home to heaven.  I hope.  May I please have a life which will always bring honor and glory to you.  May I please step into your vision soon for my life soon?  Thank you.  I love you.  Amen.

When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

  Our Continual Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, or animals, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Please accept my sincerest thanks....and God's....and may God richly bless you !

    One last thing....

 Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

'The Unforced Rhythms of Grace'

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly.  "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father - Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself; I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen."

"Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn how to live freely and lightly.

   Matthew 11:  25-30

  The Message

And the people said,

"Amen."
