   Who We Are

The Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christian church.

We believe in God the Father....our Father, Creator,

In Jesus, the Messiah....Savior
and in
Holy Spirit, Comforter and Teacher.

We believe that God made the heavens and the earth, he forgives us of our sins,
and he gave all creatures His son, Jesus,
who died on a cross to give us eternal life.

We believe Jesus went to heaven, he is now seated at God’s right hand,
 and
that God gave us Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

*

Jesus Christ from Nazareth, the man who was crucified, was raised from the dead by God!

Jesus has now become the cornerstone.

"There is salvation in no one else!  There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Acts 4:10b-12

Holy Bible New Living Translation

Who are God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

God is our heavenly Father who created heaven and earth.  He lovingly forgives our sins.  God gave us His Son, Jesus. He is the Messiah, our Savior and Lord.  He gives us the opportunity to obtain eternal life. When Jesus went to heaven, Holy Spirit was made available to us to comfort, teach, and guide us.

God in the beginning:  Genesis 1 & 2
Jesus:  Matthew 1, 2 & 3
Holy Spirit:  John 15:26, 16:5-15

Are you one with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

If you have not accepted the Trinity (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) into your life to receive all they have to give you, and you would like to, pray this prayer or use your own words from your heart:

“Dear Heavenly Father God, please forgive me of my sins known and unknown.  Jesus, please come into my life, heal me, and make me whole.  Give me a new life in and with you.  I wish to receive all that you have to give.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit, so that I can learn all I can about you, to love you as you love me, and so I can love others.  So I can love myself.  Holy Spirit, please fill me to overflowing with all the fruits and the gifts you have to give me to help me grow in Christ Jesus and share be able to share the Trinity with others.  Thank you for giving me this new life.  Please send other Christians to surround me to help me grow and be strong to defeat Satan and the things of the world.  Help me to be worthy of your love.  Thank you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  In Jesus name I pray by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.”

***

If you have prayed this prayer, or one from your heart, please email us at TrinityMissions@msn.com, so we can agree with you in prayer, praise God, and uplift you with prayer support.  We are thrilled to welcome you into the family of believers and encourage you to find a church home nearby where you can study, grow and fellowship with others.  Someone may need your support as much as you need them.  We are commanded to come together in fellowship to worship His majesty.

If you choose to fellowship with us via the web, we are honored to welcome you to the Church of the Holy Spirit.  We pray you will be enriched and uplifted in the fullness of the Trinity to their glory.  Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing from time to time.  As the website grows, we will have a special page for this purpose, and, you will be able to list prayers for all to see, so that we may come together praying as a body of believers, for ‘wherever two or more shall gather, there will I be.’   Don’t forget to send prayers of thanksgiving, as well as petitions of tears.

You are who I call ‘The Promise Children’, as in Romans 9:25-26 NLT:

“Those who were not my people, I will now call my people.  And I will love those whom I did not love before.  And, once they were told, ‘You are not my people.’  But now he will say, ‘You are children of the living God.”

***

“The Kingdom of God is near you now.”

The Apostle Paul gave us a “Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment” in Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.  It reads

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.”

Jesus told us to remain in his love in John 15:9-13 NLT:

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy.  Yes, your joy will overflow!  I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.  And here is how to measure it - the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends."

  Resurrection Of The Godly

Luke 14: 7 - 14

Luke

When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit near the head of the table, he gave them this advice:  "If you are invited to a wedding feast, don't always head for the best seat.  What if someone more respected than you has also been invited?  'The host will say, 'Let this person sit here instead.'  Then you will be embarrassed and will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!

"Do this instead - sit at the foot of the table.  Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, 'Friend, we have a better place than this for you!  Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests.  For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored."

Then he turned to his host.  "When you put on a luncheon or a dinner," he said, "don't invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors.  For they will repay you by inviting you back.  Instead, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the godly, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you."

Thoughts.....

When I read this from todays Scripture:

When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit near the head of the table, he gave them this advice:  "If you are invited to a wedding feast, don't always head for the best seat.  What if someone more respected than you has also been invited?  The host will say, 'Let this person sit here instead.'  Then you will be embarrassed and will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!"

I think of this:

The crowd watched, and the leaders laughed and scoffed.  "He saved others," they said, "let him save himself if he is really God's Chosen One, the Messiah."  The soldiers mocked him, too, by offering him a drink of sour wine. They called out to him, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!"  A signboard was nailed to the cross above him with these words:  "This is the King of the Jews."

One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, "So you're the Messiah, are you?  Prove it by saving yourself - and us, too, while you're at it!"

But the other criminal protested, "Don't you fear God even when you are dying?  We deserve to die for our evil deeds, but this man hasn't done anything wrong."  Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom."

And Jesus replied, "I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise."  Luke 23:35-43

When I read this from todays Scripture:

"Do this instead - sit at the foot of the table.  Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, 'Friend, we have a better place than this for you!  Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests."

I think of this:

Standing near the cross were Jesus' mother, and his mother's sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene.  When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, "Woman, he is your son."  And he said to this disciple, "She is your mother,"  And from then on this disciple took her into his home.  John 19:25b-27  See also Matthew 27:55-57, Matthew 14:55 and Mark 6:3.

When I read this:

"For the proud will be humbled, but the humbled will be honored."

I think of this:

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand.  And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked with them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.  Mark 16:19  See also Luke 24:50.

And when I read this:

Then he turned to his host, "When you put on a luncheon or a dinner, " he said, "don't invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors.  For they will repay you by inviting you back.  Instead invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.  Then at the resurrection of the godly, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you."

I think of this:

Then Jesus shouted out again, and he gave up his spirit.  At that moment the curtain in the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom.  The earth shook, rocks split apart, and the tombs were opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead after Jesus' resurrection.  They left the cemetery, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.

The Roman officer and the other soldiers at he crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened.  They said, "Truly, this was the Son of God!"  Matthew 27:50-53

On this day we celebrate Jesus' resurrection.  Although it may be strange that we should also celebrate a death, we do so because without his death, there would have been no resurrection.  Without his resurrection, there would have been no life...eternal...for him....and the rest of us who chose/choose to accept him as our Savior and make him Lord of our life.

This day, consider the cost that Jesus paid for you, so that you might have forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

He was birthed in a stable.  He was not understood from early youth.  He was not accepted.  His credibility, integrity, character, presence of mind was questioned.  He was picked upon, beaten, threatened, fought for his life.  He was spit on, flogged with a whip with iron stones, bloodied as a crown of thorns was placed on his head, nailed to a cross, left to hang unto death.  His body was pierced with a spear after death....for you.  But praise God!  He was raised to a new life in heaven.  Jesus now sits at God's right hand.  And he reigns!

The resurrection of the godly has not ended.  The Kingdom of God is here....now.  You can still be a part of this miraculous event today.  "For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.'  There is salvation in no one else!  There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."  Acts 4:11-12

Today, right now, if you are reading this or hearing this, there is still time to ask him to save you!  Then you, too, can honor the actions, the life, the love of Jesus Christ....what he did for you....because of his and God's love for you.  Today you can ask God to forgive you of your sins and thank him.  Today you can ask Jesus to come into your life, your heart.  Today, you can be with him in paradise, if he calls you home.  Don't wait.  Your end time will most probably come before THE end times.  What have you got to lose?  Your sins, your old way of life and living!  What have you got to gain?  Forgiveness, a new way of life, a new way of living, loving, giving, growing!  The opportunity to live with him in paradise....have eternal life!  That's for ever.

For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heat that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.  Romans 10: 9-10

Jew or Gentile.... Slave or Free.... Male or Female....

"The Messiah you are looking for is Jesus."  (!)  Acts 5:42

He isn't here!  He has risen from the dead!  John 24:6

He has risen indeed!  Alleluia!

May this day bring you memories to last your whole eternal life, as you accept Jesus as your Savior and make him Lord, or renew your relationship with him today!  Praise God!  Praise Jesus!  Thank them today and show them your love!

Let Us Pray

Lord of heaven and earth....gee.....that has a new ring to it as I speak it aloud in prayer today.  Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for living as you did, painful and lonely as it was, despite being surrounded by others....some who helped you....some who failed to help.  Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for being willing to die for me, to make my life mean something.  For giving me the opportunity to receive eternal life.  For giving me the opportunity to share who you are, that you are, and how wonderful you are with the world.  When you told others to go and preach your truths, it was to many, not just your Apostles.  Every time you baptize someone with Holy Spirit, they are ordained by God to go forth preaching, and teaching, and healing, and more for you.  I am reminded by this when I read 2 Corinthians 1:22 as Paul says,  "It is God who gives us, along with you [that's all others which includes me], the ability to stand firm for Christ.  He has commissioned us [all of us includes me now] and he has identified us [still includes me] as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment of everything he will give us."  I just praise you and thank you for all you have given me, and will give me....including the ability to go forth preaching, and teaching, and healing, and more, for you and with you.  Please do not ever leave my side....it would be more than I could ever bear....to live this thing called 'life' without you....I could not.  Today has new meaning as I renew my vow to 'love you more dearly, see you more clearly, follow you more nearly day by day'.  Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, the world may not love you, but I do.  And though it may not seem that I am doing the right thing, and I may not be, the fact that I am trying to do the right thing pleases you.  And I thank you for that.  May what I do, and how I live, ultimately bring you glory.  May the miracles you enact in my life point others to you, as they see your glory through those miracles.  Please help me, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, I need lots of miracles in my life right now.  I am thrilled you will receive all the glory for the great, loving, kind, uplifting, positive, nurturing, inspiring, filling and fulfilling, miraculous things you are about to create in my life....because I have asked for your help to do these things, and you tell us if we but ask, you will help us.  Thank you for helping me....I praise you and thank you right now.  I'm not going to wait until I've seen them manifested, I'm going to thank you right now....believing they will be manifested because I asked.  God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, I am 'down and troubled, and I need a helping hand, and nothing....nothing....is going right.  But I'll close my eyes and think of you, and then you will be here to brighten even my darkest day.  I'll just hold out my hand, and I know where ever you are, you'll come running, to see me again.'  'Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall....all I have to do is call....and you'll be there, yes you will, 'cause I've got a friend' in you God, Jesus, Holy Spirit....thank you.  I love you.  This day, as I celebrate your death and resurrection, Jesus, I am reminded that without you, I would not have a prize of the high calling of God to press toward.  I would not have the opportunity to enter heaven....to receive eternal life....be forgiven of my sins, known and unknown, for not loving you with my whole heart, and not loving my neighbor as myself.  I am humbly sorry and I heartily beg your forgiveness.  I bow down to you right now.  I praise you, I thank you, 'I want to build my world around you'.  Please send Christians to surround me and help me.  Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, please send other Christians to help all who are hurting in the world.  The time is now....it is here....we must come together in your name to help one another.  The workers are few....I'm trying to teach others to become strong soldiers of your cross.  Holy Spirit, gird all of us up, please.  Thank you.  I love you.  Amen.

He is risen!  He is risen!  Our triumphant holy day!

*

NOTE:  I said it long ago, but let me say it again.  If you are wanting to lead a group, start a church, or are confined in an institution, or live in a country where the Gospel is not preached, and you don't know what to say or how to say it, and yet feel led to share, teach, or preach, please feel free to share what I've written, as long as you include where it comes from, due to copyright laws.  Jesus gave God's love and healing freely, as well as his message.  Our responsibility is to get the Word out to those who need to hear it.  If what I've written....by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit....or what he has said through me....has helped you, it may help others that you know, and you are welcome to share it.  God calls all of us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.  Please share it with the fullness of love that God, Jesus, Holy Spirit....and I....have given it.  Amen!

  Our Current Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, or animals, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Please accept my sincerest thanks....and God's....and may God richly bless you!

    One last thing....

 Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

'The Unforced Rhythms of Grace'

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly.  "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father - Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself; I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen."

"Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn how to live freely and lightly.

   Matthew 11:  25-30

  The Message

And the people said,

"Amen."
