Beware Of The Thieves!

John 10:10

Thoughts.....

Unbelievable what goes on in the name of modern medicine.  Today I am going to harp briefly and ask for prayers.

I mentioned last week, I think, that I have a friend in the hospital.  She has wavered between life and death.  She seems to keep having miracle after miracles.  She is in a battle not of a physical nature, though she continues to battle on that front, but now she is in a spiritual battle for her life.

There is a prevailing attitude of some doctors that suggests that they do not believe as Christians, and that all people should die.  On their terms.  The enemy, Satan, has placed them at the foot of every bed to kill without the traditional weapons of ground zero battle.  He is using his assigns to do it with 'philosophies' and the pen.  Make no mistake:  we are NOT 'philosophies', we are children of the living GOD.

What was once a 'Living Will' to define the wishes of a patient, now a doctor can whisk his pen and decide your fate.....your life.  Your ability to take a breath...or not.  For your heart to beat....or not.  Whether you will be life saving medicine or not.  Whether you will live......or die.

It frightens me to think that someone, anyone, but God Almighty, has that power.  We must be aware, we must be vigilant.  We must start asking our doctors and telling others to ask theirs, if their beliefs align with what we believe.

CALLED magazine had an article on the New Age Movement this month.  They spoke to Dr. Robin Harfouche.  She addressed the issue of spiritual battle, and, by my understanding, stated our belief, our conviction, our action can be applied to anything that is not Christ centered.  She said, "It all goes back to the empowerment of the believer.  The power of Jesus Christ is the anointing that destroys it all.  By tapping into the spritiual power that we (as Christians) have been given through Jesus Christ, we gain the authority to trample on principalities of blindness and darkness.  As Christians, we are called to battle things spiritually, not intellectually.  This is about breaking the yolk of something that is trying to destroy the world."

I am appalled that at the very opportunity of life, we can be snuffed out by the stroke of a pen by someone who knows nothing about us and believes they can, they should, or will.  Snuffed out by people we are told to trust.  People who, by the nature of the title, we expect will breathe life into us by the skills they learned, the vast knowledge they obtained.  And yet, it is their religious precepts that prevail upon our bodies, our spirits, our souls, not their education of medicine.

So I rebuke, in the name of Jesus, anyone and anything that is not of Heavenly Father God, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and Holy Spirit our Comforter and command it to leave the lives of everyone who is a Christian, who professes that Jesus is Lord and Savior and believes he died for them, and all of us, to give us forgiveness of sins and eternal life.  I claim protection, in the name of Jesus, for every Christian young and old, new and not new to the salvation message.  I pray that we all might be wiser, safer, more careful and more caring, dedicated to due diligence of protecting the temple of God we call our body, and among all matter of life for those lives of Christians who surround us.

And I am going to be bold enough to say beware of the following Doctors currently practicing in Tucson, Arizona:

Dr. Momtazbakhsh, Dr. Paul, Dr. Haque (pronounced hawk).  They are members of AIMS and IPC groups.  However, of this group, there are other wonderful doctors as well.  All of these named doctors have been of the same mindset that they have the power and the authority to decide who dies, when, and how.  Theirs is not an intent to heal, but to kill, steal and destroy.  As such, they bed with the devil himself.

Should someone who is eating, drinking, walking around, talking, breathing, fighting to heal die?  Should it be another's choice, other than God to decide this?  How dare anyone intervene to such a drastic extent.  This is in direct opposition to what she, as a Christian, believes in, and what the rest of us as Christians believe in.

Based on 1 Corinthians 15:26 we know 'the last enemy to be destroyed is death'.  In the meantime, although the final battle is God's, Jesus', and Holy Spirit's, he calls us to be warriors with him in battle every time we see an injustice and walk out the door!  So, according to Paul in his letter to the Epheisans 6:10-18, we, too, must 'Be strong with the Lord's mighty power.  Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.  For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.'

We must 'Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm.  Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body of armor of God' righteousness.  For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you wil be fully prepared.  In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.  Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.  Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.'

Please pray earnestly, right now, for my friend, Debra, and others in positions similar to hers right now.  Thank you.

And if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please consider doing so today.  Questions?  Ask someone you know who is a Christian.  Don't know what to pray?  Above, in the opening words, is a prayer you can pray to accept Jesus into your heart today.  Or you can speak anything from your heart.  He will hear you.  Then, find a church home near you and start reading The New Testament to see how you are to live your life today.  The Old Testament gives us our history and shows us why the New Testament is so important.  So feel free to read that as well, it also shows us more about the character of who God is.  But to know what to do now, how to live, the New Testament will give you all the answers you need.  Can't find it?  Ask God.  And as always, feel free to be part of the family of this church.  Open 24/7 for when you need us.  Just check the topics of reference on the Scriptures Archived page found in The Family Room.  We're only a phone call or email away if you need more help.

I hope you will decide to ask the Lord into your life, or renew your relationship with him.  He needs all the warriors he can get.  It can get 'pretty ugly out there' in the world.  But with God, all things work together for good for those who love him.  We must love him.

Let Us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, please forgive me of my sins, please heal me, and make me whole.  Please heal the hearts, minds, and bodies of those suffering in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and those cuddled in their chairs or beds at home.  Please protect them, surrounding them with an army of angels who will step up and speak out to help them.  Help all of us to help you save them through your Holy Name.  Make us your mouthpieces.  Allow your Holy Spirit to flow through us that we might be bold in speaking out....in taking action to stop the enemy and his assigns.  Lord, there are so many injustices in the world...this is only one, but Lord this is huge.  It is human life....you God are the author of this life....won't you please intervene on behalf of all those who are vulnerable?  I beg you in your son, Jesus' name....help them.  And help and protect me, too, Lord.  Thank you.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.

More love....

  Benediction...Blessing

Let us hear from Paul as he prays:

When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.  Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT

If you feel that the Church of the Holy Spirit has inspired or helped you, we'd like you to prayerfully consider tithing regularly to us or gifting us, so that we can further the work and carry out the will of the Father as proclaimed in Matthew 28:19-20 NLT

 to

"Go and make disciples out of all the nations

baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this:

I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

  Our Current Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, or animals, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Please accept my sincerest thanks....and God's....and may God richly bless you!

    One last thing....

 Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

'The Unforced Rhythms of Grace'

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly.  "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father - Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself; I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen."

"Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn how to live freely and lightly.

  Matthew 11:  25-30

  The Message

And the people said,

"Amen."

I now write most prayers in the position of ' I ' (first person) because most people are sitting at their computer alone, not in groups, and it allows those reading and praying to personalize the prayer as coming from them going to God.  Variations may appear on holidays when families may wish to use the prayer provided.
