  Who We Are

The Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christian church.

We believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son
and
Holy Spirit the Comforter and Teacher.

We believe that God made the heavens and the earth,
and gave all creatures His son, Jesus,
who died on the cross to forgive our sins
 and
to give us eternal life.

We believe Jesus went to heaven, he is now seated at God’s right hand,
 and
that God gave us Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

***

Who are God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

God is our heavenly Father who created heaven and earth.  He gave us His Son, who died on a cross to allow our sins to be forgiven and give us eternal life becoming our Lord and Savior.  When Jesus died, Holy Spirit was made available to us to comfort, teach and guide us.

God in the beginning:  Genesis 1:1
Jesus:  Matthew 1, 2 & 3
Holy Spirit:  John 15:26

Are you one with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

If you have not accepted the Trinity into your life and you would like to, pray this prayer or use your own words from your heart:

“Dear Heavenly Father God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, please forgive me of my sins known and unknown.  Please come into my life, heal me and make me whole.  Give me a new life in and with you.  I wish to receive all that you have to give.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit, so that I can learn all I can about you to love you, and others, as you love me.  So I can love myself.  Thank you for giving me this new life.  Please send other Christians to surround me to help me grow and be strong to defeat Satan and the things of the world.  Help me to be worthy of your love.  Thank you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  In Jesus name I pray by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.”

***

If you have prayed this prayer, please email us at TrinityMissions@msn.com, so we can agree with you in prayer, praise God, and uplift you with prayer support.  We are thrilled to welcome you into the family of believers and encourage you to find a church home nearby where you can study, grow and fellowship with others.  Someone may need your support as much as you need them.  We are commanded to come together in fellowship to worship His majesty.

If you choose to fellowship with us via the web, we are honored to welcome you to the Church of the Holy Spirit.  We pray you will be enriched and uplifted in the fullness of the Trinity to their glory.  Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing from time to time.  As the website grows, we will have a special page for this purpose, and, you will be able to list prayers for all to see, so that we may come together as a body of believers, for ‘wherever two or more shall gather, there will I be.’   Don’t forget to send prayers of thanksgiving, as well as petitions of tears.

***

You are who I call ‘The Promise Children’, as in Romans 9:25-26 NLT:

“Those who were not my people, I will now call my people.  And I will love those whom I did not love before.  And, once they were told, ‘You are not my people.’  But now he will say, ‘You are children of the living God.”

***

“The Kingdom of God is near you now.”

***

The Apostle Paul gave us a “Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment” in Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.  It reads

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.”

Jesus told us to remain in his love in John 15:9-13 NLT:

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy.  Yes, your joy will overflow!  I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.  And here is how to measure it - the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends.”

 Hebrews 12: 14-29

A Call To Listen To God...Be Warned

Hebrews

Try to live in peace with everyone, and seek to live a clean and holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.  Look after each other so that none of you will miss out on the special favor of God.  Watch out that no bitter root of unbelief rises up among you, for whenever it springs up many are corrupted by its poison.  Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau.  He traded his birthright as the oldest son for a single meal.  And afterward, when he wanted his father's blessing, he was rejected.  It was too late for repentance, even though he wept bitter tears.

You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai when God gave them his laws.  For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice with a message so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking.  They staggered back under God's command:  "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death."  Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, "I am terrified and trembling."

No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to thousands of angels in joyful assembly.  You have come to the assembly of God's firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven.  You have come to God himself, who is the judge of all people.  And you have come to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven who have now been made perfect.  You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which graciously forgives instead of crying out for vengeance as the blood of Abel did.

See to it that you obey God, the one who is speaking to you.  For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, how terrible our danger if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!  When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise:  "Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.  This means that the things on earth will be shaken, so that only eternal things will be left.

Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be destroyed, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.  For our God is a consuming fire.

Thoughts...

There is a time in everyone's life when they have to stop deluding themselves and look at the reality of their life.  That time is now!

Are you sinning?  Why?

Are you living a life that GOD would want you to live?

Are you living in accordance with the new scriptures...the Gospel of Jesus Christ...as passed on in the New Testament?

Are you doing what GOD has told you to do with your life?

Are you aligning your life with the New Testament?

What I mean by that is that you may be hearing what you think or even believe is the voice of THE  one and only Holy Spirit....but if what you are hearing does not equal how you are supposed to be living according to the New Testament, then whom you are hearing is NOT Holy Spirit!

Are you talking the talk and not walking the walk?

Are you telling others how to live and not living how YOU are supposed to be living?

That's huge.  It totally diminishes your testimony for Jesus Christ.  It labels you a fool.  It disables you from bringing others to him.  It makes them see that IF they do find him, they can just keep sinning and be a jerk like you.  Jerk:  Somone who says one thing and does another.  (Not a standard definition.)

And why would they want to turn their lives over to him based on your actions?

If you are critical of others not walking the walk or talking the talk, why would others want you or him in their lives?  Why would they want to associate with someone who is critical....they will think Jesus is  critical, too.

Have you shown love to all those around you?  How?  By staying in their lives or demanding they stay in yours....in other words....manipulating and controlling them?  Terrorist is another word for these actions.   LET GO!

How ever are you going to help others see God if you are not acting like he would want you to in his name?

Here are the directives based on the scripture above:

Try to live in peace with everyone.

Seek to live a clean and holy life.  [HOLY life is walking the walk, folks.]

Look after each other. [Help, not hinder and control.]

Watch out that no bitter root of unbelief rises up among you. [Expecting negatives, projecting negatives kills eveything in its path.]

Make sure no one is immoral or Godless.  [When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results:  sexual immorality to include living in sin, or sexual pleasure outside of marriage, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities (terrorist activity as listed above...manipulation, control, demanding your own way, commanding, etc.), hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong exept those in your own little group, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin.  Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Gal 5: 19-21]

Do you want your Heavenly Father's blessing?  Give it up.  It's not going to happen if you are not living as God intended.  You are on the road to hell.  "And afterward, when he wanted his father's blessing, he was rejected.  It was too late for repentance."  You will weep bitter tears.  How  do you expect God to forgive you if you keep on sinning?  Why do you expect God should or would answer your pleas if you keep slapping him in the face by the actions of your sins?  Why should he bless you? You say you are a child of God, but you don't act like a child of God.  Where is your fruit, your thankfulness?!

Inside everyone of us, according to psychology, is an inner child, an adult and a parent.  To complicate things further, each of those have a negative and a positive side to them.  Ask yourself with each person in your life that you communicate with daily who you are when you are with them.  Are you the negative inner person or the positive....do you exihibit negative or positive traits.  Here are the basics of each one:

Inner Child Positives:  Laughs, happy, spontaneous, curious, playful, wonders, explores, hopeful, wishes, wants, active, friendly, creative, free.

Inner Child Negatives:  Angry, fearful, mean, resists, denies, hurts, sad, depressed, addictive, lies, steals, blames, gets even, manipulates, controls, pouts.

Inner Parent Positives:  Caring, helpful, supports, loving, listens, patient, kind, slow to anger, smiles, sets limits, unconditional, grounded.

Inner Parent Negatives:  Says NO, NO!, shaming, stupid, wrong, bad, not ok, critical, bossy, have to, distant, perfection, preaches, cruel, judges.

Inner Adult equals:  secure, I think, problem solves, alternatives, solutions, information, facts, no 'games', trustworthy, honest, logical, communicates, balanced.

Mainline psychology is not too far off the track, if we look at these terms in relation to God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  It could be said that my thoughts today are inner parent negative.  There are times when God has to get firm with us to show us things, because we are not listening to him, and, he is trying to literally save our lives.  Does he WANT to have to tell us we are wrong?  No!  Does he need to at times?  Most assuredly, to help us do right...to make the right choices in life...to wake us up....to follow his lead and not be lost.

You may have come to a physical mountain...how is your health...your body?  You may have come to a place of flaming fire....who is verbalizing all over you....are you verbalizing all over another?  You may have come to a place of darkenss and gloom....is the pain of your whole life too hard to hold in your heart and mind and your heart is breaking, your mind tormented?  You may have come to a whirlwind....is your life in chaos, are you not happy, is your life lacking the peace, love, joy, and contentment of God?  My brothers and sisters, make some better choices in your lives.  You have heard the trumpet blast.  You are staggering under God's commands.  Be frightened, be terrified and be trembling.

Turn from your sins and turn back to God.  IF you do, you can go to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to thousands of angels in joyful assembly!  You can go to the assembly of God's firsborn children, whose names are written in heaven!  You can go to God himself, who is the judge of all people!  And you can go to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven who have now been made perfect.  And you can go to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and the sprinkled blood, which graciously forgives instead of crying out for vengeance.

See to it that you obey God, the one who is speaking to you.  How terrible our danger if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!  You may not see me or want to listen to me as an earthly messenger, as the Israelites listened to Moses.  But aren't all of us who are in and of Christ earthly messengers...sent to help one another along lifes way?

When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise:  "Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also."  I don't know about you, but the worldly events sure have made me sit up and take notice of God.  My health events as of late have been a stauch reminder that my time will most likely come before the end times.  I want to make sure I am of the eternal things when the things on earth are shaken.  I want to be sure that when that last trumpet sounds, I will hear it and go home to the arms of my Savior.  I want to KNOW that God is my God, and Jesus is my Savior, and Holy Spirit will forgive me.  I want to know that I know that I know that I know.  There can be no mistakes here.  I cannot hope.  I want to act in a way so that I am guaranteed that promise.  You and I CAN receive a kingdom that cannot be destroyed.  Will you be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe...following his word for your life, and act as his to those around you?  I will.  Will you jpin me?  Will others be able to say about you in all life situations, "There goes a child of God who is living by faith in truth and in light?"  I will do everything in my power with my God who saves to live in such a way as to be labeled and known as a child of God.  Will you?

Our God is a consuming fire.  Watch out.  He is warning us, my brothers and sisters.  Get right or get on down the road.  If you choose to get on down the road, you will be with the one who kills, steals, and destroys, because God will say, "I don't know you" as a result of your actions.  Wouldn't you rather follow the path of Christ, so that your journey ends in the arms of the ever living ever loving God and make him Lord of your life?  As I say to my kids, "Make a better choice."  Make the right choice, folks and run to his arms today, right now, and then start living rightly as God intended.  Ask God, Jesus and Holy Spirit into your life or back into your life.  You will know that has happened when you have more evidence of the positive inner child, and parent and you are acting like an adult and more importantly, "When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us:  love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Here there is no conflict with the law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desire of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.  If we are living now by the Holy Spirit let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.  Let us not become conceited, or irritate one another, or be jealous of one another."  Gal 5: 22.   Think this is too hard?  Run to his arms now...go to him...let him make you whole.  And then, by following on his path, on the journey he wants you on, making right choices, and thanking him by living right, you will see his blessings begin to manifest in your life.  May you do as he calls you and may you be richly blessed in all areas of your life.

Let Us Pray

Oh, God, Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.  Have mercy on me a miserable sinner.  I have wronged you and so many others in my life by not making right choices.  Please help me to erase all those old inner messages of pain, sorrow, anguish, negativity, anything I learned that was not of you.  Remove from me all those sins placed upon me by others....parents, relatives, friends, acquaintances, spouses, children, others, that are not, nor have they ever been a part of you.  Free me from  all associations that are not of you as well, Lord, despite how confusing and painful that may seem right now.  But I want what you want for me, Lord.  I want to give to you because you gave to me...your life....for all eternity, so I could keep mine...FOR YOU...Lord, only for you.....not for myself and my own choices, thoughts and desires.  I know now, Lord, that if I get out of your way, you can orchestrate my life into something beautiful I can hardly dream of, let alone believe I am worthy.  But if I am yours, and you are mine, and I am doing as YOU have called me to do and live and love as you do, I shall receive.  But, Lord, let me not do any of this so that I can receive a blessing.  Keep me right so that as I do walk in your ways, I will be doing it out of gratitude and love for the love you have shown me.  You died for me.  For me.  I cannot conceive of a love so great as to die for someone not even yet know.  Ah...but, you knit me in my mother's womb...so you did know me.  And you counted me worthy from the moment I was conceived.  Oh, Lord, how much love you have for me.  It overwhelms me.  Thank you.  Please, Lord, let me have that love within me for others at all times.  Let me love as you do...purely and for no gain.  Merely  love as a gift from you.  As a rose on the vine of life....may I blossom and grow for you.  Thank you, Lord.  I love you.  Thank you for loving me, too.   Don't go too far will you?  I will always need your help to live my new life with you.  I know you will be in me when I ask you.....but don't let any hot air get between us, okay?  Thanks.  God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, forgive me of my sins, heal me and make me whole and please, come into my life now...again, if necessary...and give me a new life in and with you.  Fill me to overflowing with all you have to give me.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit to the honor and glory of your Holy name.  In Jesus name I pray.  Thank you.  I love you.  Amen

Mary's Message

Today, as often, Mary, the Mother of Jesus, appears to Mirjana in Medjugorje.  Here is her message:

"Dear children, Today, through me, the good Father calls you to - with your soul filled with love - set out on a spiritual visitation.  Dear chldren, be filled with grace, sincerely repent for your sins and yearn for the good.  Yearn also in the name of those who have not come to know the perfection of good.  You will be more pleasing to God.  Thank you.  From  www.medjugorgelive.org

I praise and thank God that he, and Mary, and I are on the same page of life.

It must mean I am listening....at least for this moment....keep praying for me folks.

Thank you!!!!

More love....

  Benediction...Blessing

Let us hear from Paul as he prays:

When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resouces he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.

Amen.  Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT

  Our Current Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, or animals, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member of, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Please accept my sincerest thanks....and God's....and may God richly bless you!

  One last thing....

Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving

'The Unforced Rythms of Grace'

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly.  "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father - Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself; I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen."

"Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn how to live freely and lightly.

Matthew 11:  25-30

  The Message

And the people said,

"Amen."

I now write most prayers in the position of ' I ' (first person) because most people are sitting at their computer alone, not in groups, and it allows those reading and praying to personalize the prayer as coming from them going to God.  Variations may appear on holidays when families may wish to use the prayer provided.
